On October 8th, a warm sunny Saturday, something special happened. Forty two cyclist did something I hope they will continue to do bigger and better each year. They came out, some with friends and family in tow, and rode bicycles for 18, 25, and 40 miles (or more if they made a wrong turn), and in doing so they helped raise over $7,000 for the Women and Children’s Transitional Housing Program at Roseland Christian Ministries! Go ahead and applaud. They deserve it!
We could not have pulled this event off alone. So aside from the many cyclist who rode so enthusiastically, I’d also like to thank our generous sponsors for digging deep to underwrite this event and contribute to it’s success. They are:
Morgan Park Auto Service
Other anonymous friends of RCM
Lastly, but certainly not least, I would like to thank Randy Bosma, for his tireless efforts to plan, write letters, mark routes, and lend expertise to this event. His know how was vital in pulling it all together. Thank you Randy!
There is still work to be done, but this is a major boost in the right direction. We at RCM are grateful to God, who is sovereign over all things, for his loving kindness that sustains us in all our work for the sake of the kingdom!
